Once the kingdom (first beast) has been established and has
become powerful we will see the second beast emerge to take control. The second
beast comes from out of the earth. This beast will be a man, the Antichrist.
This beast is given power to rule the kingdom that is the first beast.
I have heard many theories about who the antichrist is and
where he will come from. I would like to see what the bible has to say on this
matter. That being said, I have done a little research and have to first ask this.
What do we know about the man that will be the antichrist?
Our bible gives us a ton on information and I am here to
suggest that it even tells us exactly where he will come from. Unfortunately,
for many prophesiers, it is not North America.
Let’s start out by reading the original dream of Daniel.
Daniel 7: 2-3
Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there
before me were the four winds of heaven stirring up the Great Sea. And four
great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.
Daniel 7: 7-8
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth
beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it
was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It
was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns,
and there was another horn, a little one coming up among them, before whom
three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this
horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.
Later we read the interpretation of these visions as told to
Daniel by an angel.
Daniel 7: 19
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was
diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and
his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue
with his feet.;
Daniel 7: 20-22
…that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous
words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows. I was watching; and the
same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, until
the Ancient of Days came…
Daniel 7: 23-
Thus he said: the fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on
earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the
whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces. The ten horns are ten kings Who
shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall arise after them; he shall be
different from the first ones, and shall speak pompous words against the most
High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change
times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and
times and half a time.
Just from these verses, we can see that the fourth beast is
a kingdom, and that the antichrist comes out of this kingdom. This seems to
match what is stated in the book of Revelation about the beasts.
Let’s get a little deeper,
Daniel 8: 5-12
…suddenly a male goat came from the west, across the surface
of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable
horn between his eyes. Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had
seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power. And I saw
him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage against him, attacked the ram,
and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he
cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could
deliver the ram from his hand.
Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became
strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up
toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them came a little horn
which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the
Glorious land. And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of
the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. He even
exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily
sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the
daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and
prospered.
Many biblical commentators believe that the goat with the
notable horn was Alexander the Great, and judging by the description given by
the Angel Gabriel in the next few verses, that makes sense historically. That
being said, when he died, his kingdom was into four less powerful kingdoms,
which is what Daniel said was to happen. If this is the case, we need to find
out next, where were the four kingdoms divided. Considering the antichrist
comes out of ONE of these four kingdoms, we know that America is no longer a
possibility to be the home of the antichrist.
In 321 BC, Alexander’s kingdom was split in to four. These
are who ruled them and where they were geographically.
Ptolemaic Egypt,
Seleucid Mesopotamia and Central Asia, (Iraq and Syria)
Attalid (Lysimachus) Anatolia (Turkey), and
Antigonid (Cassander) Macedon (Greece)
I find it interesting that Turkey shows up here. We will get
to why at a later point. In any case, we now know the location of each of the
four kingdoms mentioned from the book of Daniel. Those four places, and the
only possible home of the Antichrist are as follows, Greece, Turkey, Iraq and
Syria, and Egypt.
Every religion on earth is waiting for their god to either
come or return. Of course Christians are waiting for the return of Christ,
Muslims are waiting for Mahdi’s return, and Judaism is waiting for their
messiah. Even the ancient Mayan and Aztec people and what is left of their
culture is waiting for the return of their god Queztacoatl. That being said,
having a man show up with the abilities to perform great wonders would no doubt
cause many to believe that he is who they had been waiting for.
Daniel chapters 8 and 11 give us a great look into who the
final Antichrist will be. We can note that he will not be born into a wealthy
family; he will not be considered royalty. For all intents and purposes he
should be considered normal. At some point he will become very strong, but it
will not be done under his own power. Someone or something will give this man
his power. With only a few followers he will rise to power. He will rise to
power as the king of the north. (The “north” country will be discussed in the
first beast blog).
- Revelation
13: 11-15
Then I saw another beast come up out of the earth. He had
two horns like those of a lamb, but he spoke with the voice of a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first
beast. And he required all the earth and its people to worship the first beast,
whose fatal wound had been healed. He did astounding miracles, even making
fire flash down to earth from the sky while everyone was watching. And with
all the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he
deceived all the people who belong to this world. He ordered the people to make
a great statue of the first beast, who was fatally wounded and then came back
to life. 15 He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could
speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship
it must die.
The first beast, or kingdom, will be a very powerful nation.
The second beast, or antichrist, will be given control of that power and no
doubt will use it to its fullest extent. Using this great power and influence
he will require all mankind to worship the kingdom or belief system of that
nation.
The Antichrist will be able to perform miraculous wonders.
In the view of everyone, he will make fire rain from the sky. This seems to be
the big one, the one that convinces many that this man is the one everyone has
been waiting for. If we look at this from a non-supernatural point of view, it
seems that this man will have a great army at his disposal with many bombs,
possibly nuclear. Showing your ability to have “fire raining from the sky”
sounds to me like a forced conversion to his belief system.
This man will be a master of intrigue. Meaning he will
prosper by making and carrying out secret plans that are forbidden by law,
rules, or customs. Using this power of intrigue, he will be able to take
control of opposing kingdoms suddenly and with force. He makes agreements (most
likely peace agreements) with opposing kingdoms only to in turn violate that
agreement. Once those kingdoms feel safe and secure he attacks, overpowering
them with one big sweep. Using these deceitful methods he extends his power
over many countries. He gives to his followers many stolen spoils of war,
including coveted materials and money. He causes great devastation, and deceit
to succeed. At some point he will conquer Egypt and gain control over all of
its gold, silver and other riches.
- 2
Thessalonians 2: 9-10
This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit
power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool
those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the
truth that would save them.
We are
told repeatedly not to allow ourselves to be deceived. He will be here for one
purpose and one purpose only, and that is to do the work of the devil. It has
been said that the Antichrist will be the son of Satan, which I must say the
evidence for that is compelling, but that will be another project. The
Antichrist has every intention of tricking, fooling, and deceiving us into
worshiping himself. He believes that he is god.
- 2
Thessalonians 2: 4
He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call
god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God,
claiming that he himself is God.
This verse
tells us that the temple of God must be rebuilt during the beginning of his
reign or is built before he takes power. Viewing himself as a god, he refuses
to obey anything or anyone that is called god, including YHWH. This must be
true for every religion across the globe. This man must seem to be THE god that
every culture is waiting for. How else could he openly throw out every object
that people call god? This man must actually believe himself to be god, going
so far as sitting on YHWH’s throne and call himself god. This action from 2
Thessalonians 2:4 is said to be the abomination of desolation. However, I
believe that may not be the case. What if we look at what these words mean
first?
An abomination is a thing that causes disgust or hatred,
according to google definitions. Desolation means a state of complete emptiness
or destruction. That being said, isn’t it possible that the antichrist himself
is the abomination that causes desolation? If this man that opposes everything
that YHWH has put forth, and destroys cities with his army (think Joel 2),
walks into the temple of YHWH, is it too farfetched to think that the
abomination that causes desolation is standing in the temple of YHWH? Couldn’t it
be that when the people of Jerusalem see this man walk in that that is the sign
to flee?
This man will show absolutely no regard for any of the gods
of his ancestors, because he believes he is god himself. He is elated of only
himself and exults himself high above everything considered god. He will spew
unheard-of blasphemies against the God of gods. He considers himself superior
to all, including God. He only honors a god of war, one that was never known in
the ancient world. With the help of this god, he attacks the strongest of the
world’s militaries, and overtakes them. I feel that this is key to
understanding something about this antichrist. We know that he comes from a
nation that has a strong belief system because the antichrist is forcing it
upon all the nations he comes in contact with. So we must at least consider the
major religions of today and exclude any that will not fit. Christianity is
obviously out because this is the antichrist. Islam, cannot be excluded
considering the fact that ISIS is doing many of these very things in the Middle
East as you read this. Islam is also the fastest growing religion of the world.
Just something to think about.
Any man that acknowledges this foreign god will be greatly
honored. He will make rulers of those that worship this new god. They will rule
over many people and divide the land and sell it to these new rulers. One more
thing to consider. Allah and Islam did not exist until 610 AD. That is nearly
600 years after the death of Christ.
Could this new god, spoken of in the book of Daniel, be the
same image of the beast that is given the ability to live in Revelation?
Daniel 7: 25
He will defy the Most
High and oppress the holy people of the Most High. He will try to change their
sacred festivals and laws, and they will be placed under his control for a
time, times, and half a time.
Blasphemous words will spew from the mouth of the Antichrist. Abominable
actions, in the sight of YHWH, will be taken by this man. He will destroy all
that which is considered holy to the believers in Christ. The sacred festivals
of the Jewish people will be stripped away, or they will be punished if caught
attempting to celebrate them. It is said that the phrase “a time, times, and
half a time,” refers to three and a half years. If this is so, then the
Antichrist will have control over all believers for this amount of time. Im not
100% that that is the meaning of the phrase. However, going back to Islam, we
see much of this type of thing going on today in Israel. Jews are struggling to
go to the Holy site to pray. Muslims will spit on them, among other
disrespectful things.
The Antichrists heart will be against the holy covenant,
despising that which God gave to the ancient Israelites. He will take action
against it in order to destroy what it stands for. He vents his fury against
the holy covenant and destroys the believers, the holy people. With insincere
praise he will corrupt all those that go against, or abandon the covenant, and
they will be shown favor. They will not be persecuted or killed. His armed
forces will violently disrespect the temple fortress, and they will put an end
to the daily sacrifice.
- Revelation
13: 16-17
He required
everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on
the right hand or on the forehead. And
no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name
of the beast or the number representing his name.
The first
thing I would like to point out here is that the mark of the beast is DIRECTLY
connected to the NAME of the first beast. I say the first beast and not the
second because we read that the antichrist was already forcing everyone to
worship the first beast. Unfortunately, everyone believes the first beast to be
the god-man himself. If I am right, the mark of the beast will be the name of
the nation/kingdom or the god of that nation/kingdom.
The Antichrist, once
everyone is deceived, will make a law that everyone MUST take his mark. The
mark will go either on the right hand or the forehead. All those that do not
accept his mark will have trouble acquiring basic needs, such as food, shelter,
and clothing. Another side note, all of the soldiers of Islam wear a rag either
on their right wrist or forehead that reads something along the lines of “in
the name of Allah”.
As we can
see it is imperative that we know and understand what is in our future. This
man will come, and his plan is to deceive all of mankind into worshiping him as
god. He will have unimaginable intelligence and power. Even though he has the
ability to perform what many will perceive as miracles, he is NOT the savior we
are waiting for. Sometime, close to the end of his reign he becomes anxious and
aware of some type of danger. After receiving this knowledge he sets out to
kill as many people as he can.
He will be fierce-looking, contemptible person, deserving of
hatred. He does anything he pleases, and is successful in everything he does.
He will continue succeeding until the time of the end of God’s wrath. At this point,
the end of time, he will be destroyed. His demise will not come at the hands of
another man, but rather, by the Savior.
I am leaning more and more toward this man being of Muslim
descent. I am currently working on the first beast blog along with the true
Babylon blog. It is amazing that when I am researching the what the bible says,
it seems that so much of the evidence points directly back to Turkey, Saudi
Arabia, and the middle east.
One final thought, the book of Revelation tells us something VERY interesting about the location of where the antichrist comes from.
Revelation 2: 12-13
“And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,
‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.
Pergamum, is located in Turkey. Yeshua (Jesus) Himself tells us where to look.
