Expectations upon the Return of Christ (updated)

There are many things claimed about the return of Christ. Many people believe that when He returns He will gather the elect followed by the destruction of the world. I’m not here to dispute that, but I would like to be more specific about the return of Christ. Based on what the bible tells us, Christ will not return until the Antichrist has been revealed.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, AND the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

First I would like to point out that the word “that day will not come unless” is not in the original text. This means it was later inserted by the translator. That being said, the verse should read, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for the falling away comes first”. Therefore, the falling away from Christ absolutely must come before Christs return. I know this seems insignificant because it basically says the same thing, but I just like to be perfectly clear on what the Bible says. Now this also says that the man of lawlessness must be revealed before Christs return as well. The man of lawlessness is the Antichrist himself. We have already discovered where to look to find the man of lawlessness in the “Kingdom of the Antichrist”. 

When Christ returns what should we expect to see, and where should we expect to see Him?

This question is usually answered with people saying, “He will return in the clouds”. Although that is true, I believe the Bible tells us a little more than that.

Revelation 19: 11-16

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood (who’s blood?), and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations (which nations??). “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.

Isaiah 19: 1 (Christ to Egypt on cloud)

The burden against Egypt. Behold, the Lord rides on a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt; the idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, and the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

Once He comes into the world, Isaiah tells us the Christ will be heading to Egypt. What happens when He gets there?

Isaiah 19: 16

In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which He waves over it.

Now that we see where Christ starts, where else does He go? Also, what do all these places that Christ goes to have in common?

Ezekiel 32: 18, 22-24, 26-27, 29

“Son of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt (Muslim),

And cast them down to the depths of the earth,

Her and the daughters of the famous nations,

With those who go down to the Pit:

“Assyria (Muslim) is there, and all her company,

With their graves all around her,

All of them slain, fallen by the sword.

Her graves are set in the recesses of the Pit,

And her company is all around her grave,

All of them slain, fallen by the sword,

Who caused terror in the land of the living?

“There are Meshech (Muslim) and Tubal (Muslim) and all their multitudes,

With all their graves around it,

All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword,

Though they caused their terror in the land of the living.

They do not lie with the mighty

Who are fallen of the uncircumcised?

Who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war?

They have laid their swords under their heads,

But their iniquities will be on their bones,

(Meshech and Tubal are in TURKEY.)

“There is Edom (Muslim),

Her kings and all her princes,

Who despite their might

Are laid beside those slain by the sword;

They shall lie with the uncircumcised,

And with those who go down to the Pit.

Ezekiel starts with Egypt, Isaiah says Christ will ride on a cloud to Egypt. Christ goes into these places, destroys them and throws them into the Pit, or Hell.

Isaiah 63: 1-3

Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? “I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger (destroyed the nations) and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.

Christ says, “I have troddened the winepress alone…I trampled them in my anger…their blood spattered my garments and stained all my clothing. The red clothes are stained with the blood of EDOM. Edom is a land that is full on Islamic followers. All of these countries are Muslim countries. So what can we expect to see when Christ returns? I think it is clear. We can expect to see Christ return in the clouds and head to Egypt, followed by His utter destruction of all the Muslim nations. If we look back at the book of Revelation 19 we see some very interesting parallels.

Revelation 19: 13, 14

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

… He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

It seems very clear that the blood dripping from Christs robe is the blood from the Islamic nations. The book of Zechariah tells us a little more of what to expect during the battle that Christ returns to fight. It seems that all the nations that fight against Jerusalem in the times leading up to the Second coming, will be hit with a nuclear bomb.

Zechariah 14: 12-15

And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:

Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths. It shall come to pass in that day that a great panic from the Lord will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor, and raise his hand against his neighbor’s hand; Judah also will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be gathered together: Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance. Such also shall be the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, And on all the cattle that will be in those camps. So shall this plague be.

The Japanese that suffered from the nuclear bombs of Nagasaki and Hiroshima and lived to tell about it will testify that either their skin or someone they know was melted off. Similar to it dissolving. There are pictures of victims you can search that show even their eyes were burnt out of their skulls. There were other victims with their tongues literally dissolved in their mouths from the heat of the blast. Again we can see that all these nations that will suffer this destruction are the nations that are fighting against Israel, and all those nations are Islamic nations.

Continuing with the book of Zechariah, we can then expect to have a new commandment given to the whole world, or at least those that are left at that point. That new command is to celebrate the feast days of the Father.

Zechariah 14: 16-19

And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

The feast of Tabernacles is also known as Sukkot. It is one of the three biblically mandated festivals in which Jews were commanded to make a pilgrimage to the Temple in Jerusalem. Something very interesting to think about concerning the return of Christ is that this particular feast of Yahweh follows what is known as the feast of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is also known as the Day of Atonement. Atonement is making amends for a wrong doing, or to repent for sin. That being said, considering that these are fall feasts, and Christ was born originally in the fall and died on Passover, raised on First Fruits, which are spring feasts, wouldn’t it make the most sense if Christ was to return on the Day of Atonement to reunite and forgive the sins of His people?  The main purpose of Sukkot is to rejoice knowing that your sin had been forgiven. If I am correct and Christ returns on the Day of Atonement, and then all those left are commanded to continue observing the Feast of Sukkot, it would be an annual reminder about how Christ return for us and forgave us for our sin. The most amazing thing about the whole thing is that He already had this planned out in the beginning considering He already has given this command in the Old Testament.

Locust of Revelation (First Edit)

When researching the end times, one thing that seems to jump out when reading the book of Revelation is the manifestation of the locust. I have decided to check this out and see just who the Bible says these locust are. If they are such a major problem in the end times, I wanted to know if these locust were in fact little critters, or if they were something completely different. Considering that these things play such a major role in the last days, and the fact that there are so many theories and opinions on who or what they are, surly the Bible does not leave us to our own imaginations as to the identity of these beings. I think I have discovered something pretty amazing.

Joel 2: 25

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,

The crawling locust,

The consuming locust,

And the chewing locust,

My great army which I sent among you.

From the book of Joel, we can clearly see that the Locust are a great army sent to bring some of YHWH’s wrath. I say this because YHWH says himself that He sent this great army. I would even say that this is army is led by the antichrist himself. I believe this is quite plausible considering that many times in the Old Testament that YHWH says He will stir up the Medes against Babylon. The Medes are a group of people that bring terror to Babylon in the last days. So, in my opinion, based on everything I have read in the Bible, this army of locust are led by the antichrist.

Joel 2: 1- 11

Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations.

A fire devours before them,

And behind them a flame burns;

The land is like the Garden of Eden before them,

And behind them a desolate wilderness;

Surely nothing shall escape them.

Their appearance is like the appearance of horses;

And like swift steeds, so they run.

With a noise like chariots

Over mountaintops they leap,

Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble,

Like a strong people set in battle array.

Before them the people writhe in pain;

All faces are drained of color.

They run like mighty men,

They climb the wall like men of war;

Every one marches in formation,

And they do not break ranks.

They do not push one another;

Every one marches in his own column.

Though they lunge between the weapons,

They are not cut down.

They run to and fro in the city,

They run on the wall;

They climb into the houses,

They enter at the windows like a thief.

The earth quakes before them,

The heavens tremble;

The sun and moon grow dark,

And the stars diminish their brightness.

The Lord gives voice before His army,

For His camp is very great;

For strong is the One who executes His word.

For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible;

Who can endure it?

Matthew 24: 29

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

“A people come”, here we see that the Joel 2 army is a group of people. This people are also called locust. All this is taking place just before the Sun and moon go dark and the stars no longer give their light. This is the very terminology we read from the book of Matthew. The tribulation is brought on by the Joel 2 army. This army is a people group that are evil, but YHWY will use evil for good. These locust are also described in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 9: 7-11

The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

This passage literally tells us that these locust looked like horses prepared for battle, with men riding these horses, and the men had crowns. They were wearing iron vests, and they sounded as many chariots and horses as they moved. To top it off, their king was the ANGEL from the bottomless pit. The only angel I know that rules the bottomless pit is Satan himself. All this is eerily similar to the Joel 2 army.

After reading this, I decided to search through all the bible to find mentions of locust. Here is a list of several instances in which locust are mentioned in reference to something specific.

Judges 6: 1, 5

The Israelites did evil in the eyes of YHWH, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites.

They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts. It was impossible to count them or their camels; they invaded the land to ravage it

Here we see that seven year mark mentioned again. The seven years issue is mentioned in another blog and is outside of the scope for this blog. However, the Midianites seem to be the ones referred to as the locust in these verses. The Midianites also seem to have an innumerable amount of soldiers and camels. Could this be similar to the 200,000 horsemen?

Judges 7: 12

Now the Midianites and Amalekites, all the people of the East, were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the seashore in multitude.

Again we see the Midianites in reference to locust and being without number. So something we need to do is find out who the Midianites are.

Jeremiah 51: 14

The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself: “Surely I will fill you with men, as with locusts, And they shall lift up a shout against you.”

Jeremiah 51: 27

Set up a banner in the land, Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations against her, Call the kingdoms together against her: Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz. Appoint a general against her; Cause the horses to come up like the bristling locusts.

Joel 1: 4

What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; and what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.

Who are the Midianites?

The Midianites were descendants of Abraham.

Genesis 25: 1-2, 5-6

Abraham had taken another wife, whose name was Keturah. She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah

Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac. But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.

This verse here is also very interesting, considering Abraham sent all of his sons from the concubines away to the land of the EAST.

Revelation 16: 12

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

I have always heard that these kings of the east were China, but I no longer agree with that considering all the research from the bible that I have done. The kings of the east or much more likely to be kings of Islamic nations. I also believe that these kings of the east are the ten kingdoms with the seven kings we call the first beast of Revelation. 

According to Biblehub.com this is who they are.

Descendants of Midian, a nomad race in Arabia, numerous, and rich in flocks, herds, and camels, Isaiah 60:6. The original and appropriate district of the Midianites seems to have been on the east side of the Elantic branch of the Red Sea, where the Arabian geographers place the city Midian, Acts 7:29. But they appear to have spread themselves northward, probably along the desert east of Mount Seir, to the vicinity of the Moabites; and on the other side, also, they covered a territory extending to the neighborhood of Mount Sinai. See Exodus 3:1 18:1 Nu 22:25,31 Jud 6:1-8:35. In Genesis 25:2,4, compared with Genesis 25:12-18, they are distinguished from the descendants of Ishmael, though elsewhere we find the two people intimately associated, so that they are called now by one name and now by the other. See Genesis 37:25, compared with Genesis 37:36. Their capital city was called Midian, and its remains were to be seen in the time of Jerome and Eusebius. It was situated on the Arnon, south of the city Ar, or Areopolis.

The Midianites were idolaters, and often led Israel astray to worship their gods. They also not infrequently rendered the Hebrews tributary, and oppressed them. See Numbers 22:1-41 25:1-18 31:1-54. Often when the Israelites had sown, and their harvest was nearly ready to be gathered in, the Midianites and Amalekites, children of the eastern desert, came down like locusts in countless swarms, with their cattle and tents and camels, to devour and carry off the fruits of the ground, and not only rob but destroy their owners. And often did the Jews, lacking the strength or the faith or the leadership necessary for effectual resistance, seek refuge in mountain-dens and caverns till the invaders retired. Gideon was their deliverer in one such period of oppression, Jud 6:7. The modern Ishmaelites still follow the ancient practice, and their violent incursions, robberies, and murders might be described in the same terms that were used with reference to their fathers by the historians of old.

The modern Ishmaelites are our Islamic nations of the world. They are doing the very things they have always done.

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The word thief in the Greek is kleptēs. Here is the definition according to Strong’s Concordance.

A.      an embezzler, pilferer

I.                    the name is transferred to false teachers, who do not care to instruct men, but abuse their confidence for their own gain

False teachers that abuse their confidence for gain. This too seems to fit Islam.

Considering that the Muslim community are waiting for their Mahdi to return before all infidels are destroyed. The Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a 2014 interview, promised a world free of infidels and nonbelievers with the coming of the Islamic messiah, Mahdi, a 9th-century descendant of the prophet Mohammad whom the Shiites refer to as the 12th Imam.

Isis is part of the Sunni, the larger of the divisions of Islam. The Sunni believe in the Caliphate system. The Caliphate system is now lead by the leader of Isis. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, “In June 2014 an insurgent group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL; also known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria [ISIS] and the Islamic State [IS]), which had taken control of areas of eastern Syria and western Iraq, declared the establishment of a caliphate with the group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as caliph.” Granted, outside radical Islam, Baghdadi as the caliph has been rejected, it is still quite interesting that the Caliphate system has reemerged in Islam. That all being said, Islam is the second largest religion in the world, only behind Christianity. Islam has roughly 1.6 billion members, among the two groups, Shia, and Sunni. Taking that into consideration, if they were to believe that their Mahdi had returned, they would no doubt join together and an army of 200, 000 horsemen would not be too hard to imagine. Especially considering that they would be out to destroy all the infidels at the order of the Mahdi, or Antichrist.

Now here is something that really jumped out at me and could change our thinking on the locust of Revelation, and could directly link them to, in my opinion, Islam.

Babylon, the antichrist, and the end times

I have been continuing my study of Islam and the connection to the end times. It is truly amazing some of the parallels to the Bible that I have found in doing this. I do not want to put too much stock in what the Quran says, but I would like to emphasize that there are some very intriguing similarities. To take that a step further, if Islam really is an antichrist religion and Satan is Allah, then wouldn’t it make sense that some of their prophecy would be correct? What I mean when I say this is that Satan was a former angelic being. During that time period would he not have learned a thing or two about the end times? Obviously he does not have it all right, considering he still believes he has a chance at victory, but some things may be correct. Then, take into consideration that there are quite a few similarities between both the Quran and the Bible. They are not exact, but close enough to be linked.

An interesting fact that I have come across is that the second most holy book, according to Islam, is the Hadith. The Hadiths are the writings of Muhammad. Hadith 4272 stood out to me because it concerns the end times and the Mahdi of Islam, or their spiritual and temporal leader who will rule before the end of the world and restore religion and justice. Let’s take a look at what Muhammad says.

Hadith 4272

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The Mahdi will be of my stock, and will have a broad forehead a prominent nose. He will fill the earth will equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.   

The reason this stands out is because of the seven year reign.

Daniel 9: 27

He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

As you can see, the Mahdi of Islam will rule for seven years, and the Antichrist of the Bible will make a covenant that leads to the end of the world. These seem to be linked without question. Another link has to deal with Allah as mentioned in the Quran.

Qur'an 3:54

And they (the unbelievers) planned to deceive, and Allah planned to deceive (the unbelievers), and Allah is the best of deceivers.

Revelation 12:9

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world

As we can see, another parallel between both the Bible and the beliefs of Islam. Allah is known as the best of deceivers, which is exactly what the Bible says. Satan deceives the whole world. The only way to deceive the whole world is to be very good at deception.

Speaking of being good at deception, the book of Daniel seems to agree with this idea.

Daniel 8: 25

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Through his deception he will cause prosperity for his people. We already know that he breaks his deal in the middle of the seven years that is deceptive in itself. But, there is another thing that stands out in this verse. That is, through peace he will destroy many. How does that work. Let us think about this for a second. Since we are talking about Islam, how are they related to peace?

We know that Islam is continuously claiming that they are a religion of peace. However, they are also the only group in the world that are continuously killing people that do not agree with their beliefs. Could that be it? Could the book of Daniel be giving us a huge clue? Through peace, he will destroy many.

One final similarity, I have found many more, but for the purpose of this short blog I will leave it at this, comes from the book of Revelation, speaking about the return of Christ.

Revelation 19: 16

"And on his robe and written on his thigh is a name:

King of kings and Lord of Lords"

The Sahih Bukhari volume 8, book 73, verse 225

"The most awful name in Allah's sight is a man calling himself king of kings"

This is absolutely amazing in my eyes. What more could you want to show that Allah is, in fact, Satan himself. Of course the King of kings is the most dreaded and hated name in Allah’s eyes. That is because Allah is about to be destroyed at the hands of the one that bears that name.

I did a quick search of the countries that go up against Israel according to Psalm 83 at the end days. Then, I also did a quick search of the names of the children of Ishmael according to Genesis 25 simply to see if there were any links. I noticed that a lot of these people became the countries that are in direct relation to the end time’s destruction. That being said, these countries either go back to Ishmael, the one that Islam stems from OR Esau, the one that YHWH hates.

Psalm 83: 5-8

For they have consulted together with one consent;

They form a confederacy against You:

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;

Moab and the Hagrites;

Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;

Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Assyria also has joined with them;

They have helped the children of Lot.

Genesis 32: 3

Then Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother in the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

Genesis 19: 36-38

Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammon to this day.

Moab, and Ammon both stem from an unholy union between father and daughter. They are the result of an incestuous relationship.

Genesis 36: 12

Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, Esau’s son, and she bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These were the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife.

These are the four that were found in Psalms. Here is what I have found in terms of the countries prophesied against for the last days.

Genesis 25: 13-16

And these were the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadar, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael and these were their names, by their towns and their settlements, twelve princes according to their nations.

Ezekiel 25: 13

therefore thus says the Lord God: “I will also stretch out My hand against Edom, cut off man and beast from it, and make it desolate from Teman; Dedan shall fall by the sword.

Isaiah 21: 13

and the remainder of the number of archers, the mighty men of the people of Kedar, will be diminished; for the Lord God of Israel has spoken it.”

Isaiah 21: 11

The burden against Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”

As we can see, all the end times’ prophetic countries are centered in the Middle East. In our world today, which many consider to be the last days, they are all Islamic countries. That being said, it truly seems that what makes the most sense about who and where the Antichrist will come from must indeed be centered in the Middle East, and Islam. 

The Whore of Babylon

The whore of Babylon seems to be a very big part of the final Babylon. So I would like to start from the original Babylon and find out who was or should be considered the whore of Babylon. The obvious first choice is the goddess Ishtar. Her pre-goddess name was Semiramis. She was the wife of Cush, and the mother of Nimrod. She seemed to be quite arrogant and immoral. When Cush, died and Nimrod took the throne, she did the unthinkable to stay in a position of power. She married her own son. So, this woman became the wife and mother of Nimrod, and also the mother of Nimrods son, Tammuz. Tammuz shows up in the Bible in the book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 8:14

So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the Lord’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.

Nimrod eventually died and became deified as the Sun-god. It was at this point she, Semiramis, gained control of Babylon. She used seductive and immodest methods to keep her position of power. Her territory of Babylon was characterized by the harlot or prostitute sitting on and riding a bull. This shows that she was united with but also controlling the beast. That being said, she was literally depicted as a woman riding a beast. This very same imagery is what we read in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 17:3

… And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast…

After her death, she was also deified as the Queen of heaven, the moon goddess, and the goddess of fertility. There are many ancient cultures that adopted this goddess throughout the ancient world.

This goddess became known by many names throughout the ancient world and cultures.

In the Old Testament and the "ancient pagans" Semiramis is the goddess of the Sidonians as we find in the book of 1 Kings 11:4-5. Amongst the Israelites she was known as Ashtoreth.

1 Kings 11: 4-5

For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

We find in the New Testament scriptures she is Diana of Ephesus.

Acts 19: 35

And when the city clerk had quieted the crowd, he said: “Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple guardian of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?

She also takes on the roles of Isis in Egypt, Indrani in India, Cybelle in Asia, Venus in Rome, Ceres in Greece, Shing Moo in China, Hertha in Germany, Sisa in Scandinavia, among others. But this is the very woman that was Semiramis, the wife and mother of Nimrod, the queen of Babylon, the queen of heaven, and the goddess of fertility"

Quick recap: Semiramis became the goddess Ishtar. She was known for her harlotry. She was a woman that was so arrogant and desperate for power she married her own son. She seems to fit the bill of the mother of all harlots.

I highlighted Cybelle because I believe it is important to understand that the black stone has never been found in any excavations in Rome. This could mean one of two things, either we have yet to search the right place and we have no idea where that might be, or two, it was stolen or moved a long time ago and has possibly already been found but is now associated with another god or goddess.

It wasn’t until her death and deification that she really spread throughout the ancient world. In the Hindu pantheon she is known as Sri Bali. This is significant because it shows that she not only travelled to Ephesus as we read in the bible, but also her legend reached India, along with other parts of Asia Minor and the Middle East. The reason this is important is twofold. First, the Kaaba, and second the black stone.

The black stone is directly associated with the goddess Ishtar as well as Diana, Cybelle, and Ashtoreth. We read about Diana’s association with this “image”, which is also translated as stone in versions other than King James. Strong’s Concordance also translates the name Jupiter as Zeus, in the book of Acts. Although it seems that the word image was inserted into the scriptures, we know from mythologies, histories and legends that Artemis was associated with a stone. The stone, in 204 BC was moved to Rome, which is where we get the goddess Diana. According to one non-profit organization the “earliest temple contained a sacred stone, probably a meteorite, which had "fallen from Jupiter." It is quite interesting that the non-biblical/non-profit organization uses the same words we find in the King James Version of the Bible. We also know that the Temple of Artemis was destroyed several times, at some point after that the stone is lost, but it shows up in Mecca in 630 AD. How do we know this? It was found inside the Kaaba by none other than Muhammad.

The Kaaba itself was originally a Hindu temple that was taken over by Muhammad. Before Muhammad ever showed up to Mecca, the Kaaba was already there, and it was surrounded by 360 idols. One of the gods was known as Hubal, the moon god, whose worship was connected with the Black Stone of Kaaba. Among the major deities of the pre-Islamic era were al-Lat ("the Goddess"), worshipped in the shape of a square stone. The name Allat, is very close to the name Allah. But to take it a step further, the name Allah was used for god in many different cultures because the name Allah simply means god. The moon-god named Sin was also called Allah. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrate that Moon-god worship was clearly active even in Muhammad's day and was still the dominant cult. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah. In the Hindu histories, we find that Allah was one of the deities in Kaaba long before Islam was founded. It might come as a stunning revelation to many that the word ‘ALLAH’ itself is Sanskrit.

In Sanskrit language Allah, Akka and Amba are synonyms. They signify a goddess or mother.

 It seems very likely that Muhammad came in to Mecca, overthrew their power, replaced polytheism with monotheism, kept the traditions that were already in place but altered it just enough to represent a one god system.

At the time of Muhammad, his tribe, the Quraysh, was in charge of the Kaaba, which was at that time a shrine to numerous Arabian tribal gods. Desert tribesmen, the Bedouin, and inhabitants of other cities would join the annual pilgrimage, to worship and to trade. This shows that the fifth Pillar of Islam was already being practiced before the Islamic religion.

References to Mecca in the Quran (6:92, 42:5) call it Umm al-Qurā, meaning "mother of all settlements”. That being said, Mecca literally means mother. Going back to the previous paragraphs, not only do we see Mecca meaning mother, but also the name Allah itself in the Sanskrit language. What does the Bible call Babylon the Great?

Revelation 17: 5

… THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS…

Another ritual practiced by Muslims in Mecca is the walking around the Kaaba seven times. This comes directly from the Hindu religion. It is called circumambulation. Circumambulation simply means to walk around ceremoniously. No other Muslim temple in the world does this. It is only done at the Kaaba, which houses the stone of Diana.

To pull this whole thing together, we can see several things come to light about Islam, and about the whore of Babylon. Ishtar was the original whore of Babylon. In no other place in the world is Ishtar still being worshipped but in Mecca. If we consider all of Islam as beast, then we can undoubtedly say that Saudi Arabia, specifically Mecca, is the home of the whore of Babylon, Ishtar. 

Babylon the Great Part II (links to original Babylon)

I would like to take the time to go back and view the original Babylon to get a better understanding of the customs, traditions, and practices of the first Babylon in order to look for these very things taking place in today’s world. I feel that doing this could really help us figure out once and for all who Babylon the Great of the end days truly is. There must be a reason that John, Jeremiah, and Isaiah mistook a new geographical location as Babylon. Maybe YHHW told them to write down the name Babylon, or maybe it was more than just that. In my opinion, they actually saw what they knew were the customs and traditions of Babylon taking place, and therefore believed it was one and the same, or because of the similarities, it didn’t matter that it was not the same area because the traditions were exactly the same. Either way, I say this because there are two verses that stand out to me every time I start looking into the end days prophecies. Those verses come from the books of Ecclesiastes, and Matthew.

Mathew 24: 37

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Ecclesiastes 1: 9

That which has been is what will be,

That which is done is what will be done,

And there is nothing new under the sun.

I am sure you have all heard this verse quoted before. However, I believe it plays a big role in the end days. Considering that taking the time to break down the events laid out in the book of revelation, and comparing them to the events mentioned in the book of Exodus, it is not hard to see that the plagues are very similar in nature. However, I do believe that in Exodus, the locust and frogs were actual locust and frogs, and in Revelation they are used as symbols for things that represent or act similar to those creatures. 

The ancient or original Babylon has many distinctive traits. There are several things that stand out that I would like to look into.

We know that in ancient Babylon, as discussed in the book Daniel, at the sound of a horn, all men were required to bow down and worship the statue or image set up by the Nebuchadnezzar.

The book of Daniel gives us some very interesting insight into a particular several custom that took place during the days of original Babylon.

Daniel 3:5

As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

The main thing we can take away from this is that in Babylon at the sound of the horn or any other type of music, you must fall down and worship the image. This is a very telling piece of information to look for in the end times Babylon.

We also know that in ancient Babylon, they worshiped the moon god named Sin. His primary symbol was the crescent moon and we see it depicted throughout ancient Babylonian artifacts. It is also mentioned in the clay cuneiform tablets. This god also had several other names, but I find it interesting that the god representing the crescent moon was named Sin.

Ancient Babylon also worshipped the goddess Ishtar and Semiramis. She was the goddess of love, war, fertility, and sexuality. This was the very same goddess that later spread throughout the ancient world. She became known as Isis in Egypt, Ashtoreth within the Hebrew group, and Diana of Ephesus, and Aphrodite and Artemis according to the Greeks, among others. This goddess, according to mythologies was usually adorned in a purple garment. Many times she wore a veil. According to Mythencyclipedia.com Diana was “arrogant and vengeful” because she was also known as the goddess of the moon, meaning she had a changeable, unpredictable nature. This goddess was also associated with a black stone that fell from heaven.

Acts 19: 35 (ESV)

And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, Men of Ephesus, who is there who does not know that the city of Ephesians is a temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?

So far, what we should be looking for in the end days Babylon that may be directly linked back to original Babylon are these.

1.     The worship of an image at the sound of a horn

2.  The crescent moon symbol

3.  The arrogant goddess adorned in purple

4.  Association with a stone that fell from the sky

There are many more customs and traditions that could be discussed, but I would like to focus on just these four for the moment. I have heard the end times Babylon argument for several places in the world. However, I know of only one that possesses these particular attributes. The Islamic nation in Saudi Arabia, Mecca in particular.

In the city of Mecca, they have what is known as the Ka’ba. This is a giant cube shaped mosque that sits in the middle of the Islamic holy city. Muslim men are required to visit this city at least once in their life so long as they can afford it. Once there they walk around the Ka’ba seven times and at the sound of a horn, they fall down and worship this image.

The nation of Islam itself uses the symbol of the crescent moon. This symbol is present on every flag that is associated with Islam.

Finally, we come to the goddess adorned in purple. In order to show this, we must first discuss the black stone that fell from heaven. Inside the Ka’ba sits a black stone known by Muslims as having fallen from heaven. After the Muslims circle the Ka’ba seven times they touch, caress, and kiss the stone that is visible through an opening in the corner of the Ka’ba. This opening is surrounded by a vaginal shaped piece of metal. This in my opinion coupled with the fact that the name Mecca means mother shows us where the arrogant goddess is. The outside of the Ka’ba also has a veil that covers the doorway known as the kiswah, similar to the veil that covers a Muslim woman’s face known as a burka. The burka is the part of the veil that covers the face.

The goddess Ishtar started in Babylon after the Queen Semiramis, goddess of the moon, took on that personification. She was known as the moon goddess because her husband, Nimrod, became the Sun god. She quickly spread to other cultures and became known by many names, as stated earlier. This is quite interesting considering she was originally was the moon goddess and there is a link there with the Islamic symbol. This is even more intriguing considering Allah was originally known as the moon god in pre-Islamic history. According to religion encyclopedia, “Allah is a pre Islamic name…corresponding to the Babylonian Bel". Speaking about the gods of Babylon, Isaiah says this.

Isaiah 46: 1

Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are borne by beasts of burden. The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden for the weary.

Jeremiah 50: 2

“Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say, ‘Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.’

Based on what religion encyclopedia tells us coupled with Isaiah and Jeremiah, we can see that not only does the Islamic nations share traditions with ancient Babylon, but they also share a god.

Another interesting point concerning the Ka’ba is that it is full of different golden objects. According to http://www.sacred-destinations.com/saudi-arabia/mecca-kaba there are columns that support the roof that are decorated in gold. There are also golden lamps that are suspended from the ceiling. The upper part of the interior walls is covered with a green cloth decorated with gold embroidered Quranic verses.

To take this a step further, the Kaaba predates Islam itself. Historian P.N. Oak believes that the Kaaba was originally a Hindu temple that was taken over by Muhammad. I point this out, and plan to go into a bit more detail about it, simply to discredit Islam as the true religion they believe they are. The hajj that all Muslims must perform at least once in their lifetime consists of a trip to Mecca and it one of the five pillars of Islam. The five pillars are a set of rules of sorts. According to P.N. Oak, there is a library in Turkey that contains west Asian literature. In the Arabic section of the library there is an anthology of ancient poems. P.N. Oaks says,

“It throws considerable light on the social life, customs, manners and entertainment modes of ancient Arabia. The book also contains an elaborate description of the ancient shrine of Mecca, the town and the annual fair known as OKAJ which used to be held every year around the Kaaba temple in Mecca. This should convince readers that the annual haj of the Muslims to the Kaaba is of earlier pre-Islamic congregation.

 But the OKAJ fair was far from a carnival. It provided a forum for the elite and the learned to discuss the social, religious, political, literary and other aspects of the Vedic culture then pervading Arabia. ‘Sayar-ul-Okul’ asserts that the conclusion reached at those discussions were widely respected throughout Arabia. Mecca, therefore, followed the Varanasi tradition (of India) of providing a venue for important discussions among the learned while the masses congregated there for spiritual bliss. The principal shrines at both Varanasi in India and at Mecca in Arvasthan (Arabia) were Siva temples. Even to this day ancient Mahadev (Siva) emblems can be seen. It is the Shankara (Siva) stone that Muslim pilgrims reverently touch and kiss in the Kaaba. ”

Knowing that Islam was not in existence until Muhammad showed up to Mecca, and considering that they still follow traditions that pre date it should throw up red flags. We also see that the goddess Diana made her way into the Hindu culture as well.

Something else to point out is the white sheets Muslims must wear. Again, P.N. Oak has something to say,

“As the pilgrim proceeds towards Mecca he is asked to shave his head and beard and to don special sacred attire that consists of two seamless sheets of white cloth. One is to be worn round the waist and the other over the shoulders. Both these rites are remnants of the old Vedic practice of entering Hindu temples clean- and with holy seamless white sheets.”

No other place in the entire world do Muslims practice this tradition. I have shown that the seamless white sheets come from a Hindu tradition, the Kaaba itself was a former Hindu temple, and the hajj to Mecca was also a tradition held by Hindus. There is more to get into but that is beyond the scope of this writing. I was simply trying to show that Islam, Mecca specifically, has taken its traditions from other cultures throughout history so it only stands to reason that ancient Babylonian culture could have also been adopted as well. Which in turn could have been mistaken for original Babylon, meaning in John’s day, it would make sense that he would call this place a mystery. In his day, he would know the stories from the bible about the traditions and practices of ancient Babylon, and he would also know that it had been taken over. So to see these very things taking place again would be mysterious to him.

Why prophecy matters

Prophecy is vital to the way we live our lives. Depending on what we believe, guides our decisions. Meaning, if we believe that we will not have to face the time of tribulation, we will not choose to learn about the end time’s events that we believe happen after the point of the “rapture”. However, if we believe that we will live through the tribulation period, we will choose to take the time to learn and understand what to expect before the second coming of Yeshua.

Matthew 24: 42-44

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

This verse is seemingly telling us that we should keep a lookout for the signs that are to come. If we do this, we will be ready upon the return of our Savoir.

1 Thessalonians 5: 1-6

Now, brothers and sisters, about times and seasons we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.

It is obvious that when using both of these verses together we can see that it is possible for us to know the “season” or times in which He will return. However, in order to know this we need to do something. We cannot just continue to do what everyone else does, but rather look into the matter, set ourselves apart from the none believers. The only people that will be shocked by the return of the Messiah are those that are walking in darkness. In other words, if you are not studying the Bible and prophecy, you have no chance to know when He will return.

I do say this though, that the biggest reason to study the book of revelation and its prophecy is written in the beginning of the book itself.

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

There are several other verses in the bible the lead us to believe that not only is prophecy important but even more so, something that we must study and remember. Doing so could help us know what to look for and where to look.

1 Corinthians 14: 24

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all.

Prophecy helps to convict the sinner and help to convert over to give their lives to Christ. This is what it is all about. Prophecy is the best tool we have to show that YHWH is the One True God. To ignore it is to set aside our best weapon in the battle for souls.

Amos 3: 7

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.

Amos tells us plain and simple that YHWH’s will ALWAYS tell His prophets what He is about to do, before He does it. How then can we ever say that prophecy is unimportant? All prophecy can and should be read, studied, and used. If we know what is to come, we can prepare. How do we prepare for something that we have no idea about? How do we prepare for something if we don’t know what to expect? Wouldn't this also seem to indicate that as long as we are believers in Christ, that we would not be caught by the "thief in the night"? Doesnt it seem more likely that our God would give us a way to know when, and how to be prepared for His return?

Jude 1:17

But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.

We are told to remember what was prophesied. Shouldn’t this verse alone keep us studying 

prophecy? According to “The Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy” by J. Barton Payne, there are 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament and 578 prophecies in the New Testament for a total of 1,817. These prophecies are contained in 8,352 of the Bible’s verses. Since there are 31,124 verses in the Bible, the 8,352 verses that contain prophecy constitute 26.8 percent of the Bible’s volume. This means that a quarter of the Bible is prophecy. That being said, how come so many people ignore these prophecies?

We should all take the time to really review study and try to understand what all these prophecies are trying to let us know. If we do this, we should be able to prepare for the second coming of Yeshua Hamachiac. 

Babylon the Great Part I (the wine and location)

There seems to be an abundance of theories on whom the end times Babylon will be. I have heard everything from North America to specifically New York, The Vatican to all of Europe. My goal here is to use bible verses along with historic evidence to show who I believe Babylon the Great is, and why I believe this to be true.

First I would like to point out that I do not believe that the end days Babylon is any of the previously mentioned places and I do not see any biblical truth for it to be so. Next, I am going to share a few verses specifically talking about the end days Babylon.

Revelation 17: 1-2

…“Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

We know that the many waters are many peoples and nations. So Babylon the great may be a region or an area that covers multiple nations. We see that the rulers of the nations of the world “commit fornication” with this place. In my opinion, that has to be some type of business action that is breaking YHWH’s laws somehow. We then see that the people of the earth are made drunk with the wine of her “fornication”. Again, I see this happening because of the earlier business deal. The people of the earth are making money that in some way is connected back to Babylon.

Revelation 17: 3-6

And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written:

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

This passage shows us that the woman is “sitting on” or a part of the first beast mentioned in Revelation 13. I believe this means that Babylon is directly connected to the first beast, and I have already showed why I believe the first beast is the kingdom of the antichrist. That being said, Babylon must be associated with the antichrist in some form.

We also see here that Babylon has plenty of money. The golden cup she holds if full of sin and wickedness that comes from her “fornication”. Finally, we see that Babylon also has a direct connection with those that are killing those that believe in Christ.

Revelation 17: 15-18

Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

Again, we see that the water equals multiple people and nations. But, something that stands out to me here is that the association between the first beast and the whore, or the kingdom of the antichrist and Babylon the great is not so good. The kingdom hates Babylon and will destroy it by unknowingly fulfilling YHWH’s desires. We also see that Babylon is a city that holds power over the kings of the entire world.

Zechariah 5: 5-11

Then the angel who talked with me came out and said to me, “Lift your eyes now, and see what this is that goes forth.”  So I asked, “What is it?” And he said, “It is a basket that is going forth.” He also said, “This is their resemblance throughout the earth: Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket”; then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he thrust her down into the basket, and threw the lead cover over its mouth. Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. So I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are they carrying the basket?” And he said to me, “To build a house for it in the land of Shinar; when it is ready, the basket will be set there on its base.”

Where is the land of Shinar?

Genesis 11:2

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

The land of Shinar is the area that we know as Babylon, the original. This is the very place that the Tower of Babel was built. So the second Babylon will need to be in that same area, considering the first Babylon was already gone by the time Zechariah was prophesying. We also can take away from this that the very area that once was Babylon is full of what YHWH considers wickedness in our world today.

Revelation 18: 2-3

…“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”

We see here that the merchants of the earth have become rich THROUGH the abundance of her luxury. What does this mean? I suggest that Babylon the great has something and a lot of it that all the merchants of the earth use in order to make money. What could this luxury be? I would suggest this is oil. Without oil, there would be no transportation of goods. Who is the largest producer and exporter of oil in the world?

Revelation 18: 7-8

… for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

Babylon calls itself a queen. Later we read that she is destroyed by fire in one day. Not just burned, but rather utterly destroyed with fire. Who destroys Babylon?

Revelation 18: 9-19

“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.’ Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’

“They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.’

Ezekiel 27: 30

They will make their voice heard because of you;

They will cry bitterly and cast dust on their heads;

Again we read that Babylon is destroyed with fire. Next we see that the merchants of the earth cry and mourn over this city because without this city, NOONE is able to sell their products anymore. What would the city of Babylon absolutely have to have in order for the entire world’s economy to be shut down when ONE city is destroyed? If you really think about it, there is only one thing that could affect the world like this.

We later read that because of the city being destroyed, a group of people mourn by throwing dust on their heads. This is a Middle Eastern custom. Therefore, it seems to me that Babylon the great must be a Middle Eastern city. Why else would they care so much about a city being destroyed?

I do not believe that anyone from the Middle East would care if New York City was to burn into desolation. I don’t recall anyone from the Middle East caring very much when the world trade towers were destroyed.

Isaiah 21:1, 9

A prophecy against the Desert by the Sea…

Look, here comes a man in a chariot with a team of horses.

And he gives back the answer: ‘Babylon has fallen, has fallen!

All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!’”

This should help us out with finding who the end time Babylon is as well. Isaiah tells us that Babylon is the desert by the sea. First thing we need to do is go to a map and find out where we can find this particular anomaly. In the Middle East, we can find this very thing. The Red Sea sits on the border of Saudi Arabia. Something that I find quite interesting about Saudi is it is the world’s largest producer and exporter of oil. Saudi also holds the largest oil reserves in the world. Granted there are many other countries that produce and export oil, Saudi has significant ties with the western world.

To take the Middle East connection a little further, Isaiah also gives us a list of a few other places that are prophesied against.

This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the splendor of Kedar will come to an end.

Where are all these places? They are all in Saudi Arabia.

Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!

Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!

Here are just a few of the prophecies of specific areas in the end times. Ill get a bit deeper into this area later, but for now, I just wanted to show that all the prophecies are aimed toward the end times.

One final note. I was speaking to a friend of mine. She is of Hebrew decent. She mentioned this to me when we were discussing the book of Jeremiah.

How broken and shattered is the hammer of the whole earth!

I understand that the majority of the prophecy researchers believe that Babylon will be a strong powerful military nation based on this verse. However, we could also view this in terms of what it looks like. What I mean is this. What does an oil drill look like while it is running? It looks exactly like someone swinging a hammer. As I said before, Saudi Arabia is the largest producer and exporter of oil in the entire world. I believe this could be another explanation of the “hammer”.
