1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for
about half an hour.
Yeshua opens the seventh seal,
and all of heaven falls silent for thirty minutes.
2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were
given seven trumpets.
It was at this time the seven
angels before YHWH are given seven trumpets. Now, I believe these things are not
happening in chronological order, meaning I do believe there are some overlaps
between the seals and the trumpets. I make this claim because there are things
that happen twice if we are to believe it is chronological, such as the
mountains being moved out of their place.
3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the
altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of
all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
An eighth angel offered incense
with the prayers of the believers to YHWH.
4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints,
ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
There was smoke from the altar
that is the incense and prayers. Smoke rose up from the hand of the angel to
the throne of YHWH.
5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar,
and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and
an earthquake.
Once the burner was empty, the
angel put fire within it and threw it down to earth. At that time on earth
there was lightning, thunder, and an earthquake.
6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to
sound.
The seven angels took
preparations to blow their trumps.
7 The first angel sounded:
And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the
earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned
up.
At the first trumpet on earth
hail and fire fell. These were mixed with blood. One third of all the trees
were burned up and all the grass is destroyed.
8 Then the second angel
sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into
the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.
A “great fiery mountain” is
thrown into the sea. We are not sure what this mountain is but it causes a
third of all the sea to become blood. We are not sure which sea this is
specifically speaking about, but I would suggest the Red Sea.
9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of
the ships were destroyed.
This also caused a third of the
fish and water animals to die, as well as a third of the ships in this sea are
destroyed.
10 Then the third angel
sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell
on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
A star, or great angel falls from
the sky. The angel is on fire. It lands on a third of the rivers and the
springs.
11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became
wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.
The name of the angel is
Wormwood. The angels fall causes the water to be bitter and many men die from
the water.
12 Then the fourth angel
sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of
the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not
shine, and likewise the night.
The sun, moon, and stars are hit
with something, causing a third of them to be darkened.
13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of
heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the
earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who
are about to sound!”
An angel goes through heaven
makes a proclamation. The next three trumpets will be worse than the first
three.
We see lightning, thunder, and a
big earthquake takes place. Then fire, hail, and blood falls from the sky
resulting in a third of all the trees are destroyed as well as all the grass.
After this, something on fire, large, and shaped similar to a pyramid lands in
the sea, turning a third of it into blood. The blood is likely from the people
and animals who die in the water when the “mountain” is thrown. The angel named
Wormwood falls to the earth causing the rivers and springs to become bitter
which results in many men dying. A third of all the light from the sun, moon,
and stars no longer shine making the earth much darker. The worst has yet to
come.
